Erin has the distinction of being Volunteering Hawkes Bay’s Volunteer of the Month for March 2023.
Erin has been a valued member of the predator control team at Blowhard Bush since 2015. He brings his carpentry skills along with his tools to build and repair traps and tracks and signs. Christine Lawrence, the Blowhard Bush Coordinator, said “Erin has great knowledge in identifying birds, particularly their varied calls, which is a huge asset during the bird counts. He is exceptionally reliable and rarely misses a workday, whether it be for regular predator control, track maintenance, monitoring, planting days or bird counts”
