Mentor: To support women for employment opportunities

Mentors are a key part of the Dress for Success model.

Mentors are required to add value to our women seeking employment.

Do you have life skills and work experience that you can share to engage women to seek employment and support them in their career goals.

Preparing job seekers with work attire for interviews is 20% of the journey, the balance is supporting women to uncover their own skills.

We do this through mentoring and encouraging women to believe in themselves, by assisting them with:

  • the skills to present well at an interview
  • understanding their transferable skills
  • developing professional CV's
  • how to set goals and make plans to action these
  • support them into connecting with other women in the Going Places Group

Once employed, actively engage in our Professional Women's Group and mentor newbies.

The role is appointment based.  Tuesdays to Saturday.

The type of person we are looking for (is): 

Patience, empathy, excellent listening skills, must be encouraging and supportive. Interview skills are necessary.
