Big Brothers Big Sisters

What we exist for:

To build, strengthen and promote positive relationships between youth, adults and families by facilitating positive and rewarding mentoring relationships within our community.

Community-based mentoring is the traditional Big Brothers Big Sisters relationship.

It happens after school or on the weekend.

It’s all about an adult volunteer (over 18) and a young person (aged between 5 and 18) spending one-to-one time together doing things they both enjoy – one or more hours a week.

Most sessions take place in the community, at a library, a park, the beach or at other free facilities.

When Big Brothers Big Sisters partners a young person with a role model, we start something special: a one-to-one relationship built on trust and friendship that can blossom into a future of unlimited potential.
