Swimming Supervisors Required

  • Training - Fridays from 6 – 7pm at the Onekawa pools.
  • Training is weekly (except for the holidays or a public holiday or if the club has a swimming tournament).
  • Technical swimming experience is not necessary.
  • You do need to be comfortable working with athletes with an intellectual disability
  • Special Olympics offer training forums to anyone that wants to further their knowledge.
  • At training you need to be able to keep the swimmers moving for the hour to help build up their fitness.
  • You will need to encourage the swimmers to keep going.
Requirements:

Comfortable working with youth and disabilities

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Each Fridays 6pm - 7pm.

Every 2 years there is a local swimming event in Waipukurau .
There are approximately 6 out of town events in the lower North Island or maybe Taupo. These are 1-2 day events
