Bocce Assistant Coach
Special Olympics is a sports organisation that has been formed to enable people with an intellectual disability to participate in sport.
Volunteers are required to assist in the coaching and supervising of our Bocce squad of 20 Special Olympians. This squad currently trains once a week on a Monday night 4.30 - 6.30 pm - but this is flexible should the night not suit.
We use the Clubs Hastings Bowling Centre Victoria Street, Hastings.
Special Olympians are required to train once a week to enable them to participate in any competitions run by Special Olympics. Most of this current squad are just training and not necessarily travelling away.
Interested in working with people with intellectual disabilities, ensuring support and coaching to see them meet their highest potential.
Training and sports forums are available.
Flexible and with arrangements with the volunteer coordinator on the training night.
One 2 day event is held annually in Hastings and 2 - 3 tournaments are held out of town per annum.
