Weekend Supervisors for Supervised Visits

Birthright Hawke’s Bay, Child & Family Care is a professional and confidential service offering an holistic social service to families whilst maintaining the care, protection, welfare and best interests of the child or young person.

Training will be given to any volunteer, interested in maintaining the opportunities for parents to still be able to have contact with their children and for the children to have their rights to a safe relationship with the visiting parent.
The venues can be at Birthrights Napier or Hastings offices, or 2 Early Childhood Centre's and sometimes when safe - in the community such as Cornwall Park or Anderson Park, the skatepark.

This position may become a casual paid position.


Friendly, empathetic and kind, must love children and care for their wellbeing.
Every family dynamics and situations are different and the volunteer will be supported by the Practice Manager

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Saturday and Sundays between 8.30am at the earliest and 4.30pm
