Hawke's Bay Regional Prison Rehabilitation

Can you offer tane constructive/rehabilitative/reintegrative skills/activities?

Department of Corrections need volunteers that can offer a range of skills/activities - especially in music, art, fitness, tikanga/te reo, literacy & ESOL.

By keeping men engaged, stimulated and motivated, our volunteers ensure the prison environment is safer both for other prisoners & all staff/volunteers/providers.

Volunteers provide community connections and act as role models.

By including our communities in volunteering, we hope to increase the sense of inclusion that tane experience when they are released which in turn benefits our communities through a reduction in recidivism.
