Parenting in the Community Facilitator

Parenting in the neighbourhood groups are essentially an online coffee group to support parents and caregivers to make friends and connections in their community. The groups are also sometimes delivered in person when covid is not such an issue.
The facilitator needs to be reliable as the groups are set up well in advance and being available is vital. The Facilitator needs to be warm, friendly, connect to all people and represent Plunket and Plunket’s views and guidelines etc Building rapport and supporting the group to connect is important.
There are two groups run a term, each group requiring approximately 2 hours a week during the week days depending on when they scheduled. The scheduling is dynamic as needs to work around clinical needs so not too much flexibility with hours.
Volunteers need up to date covid vaccinations.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

2 hours /week during weekdays.
Schedule needs to be organised around clinical needs
